Rizzoli & Isles Co-Star Dies of Self Inflicted Gunshot Wound.

Young seemed destined to do a lot in as an actor. Remembering specifically his days as The Famous Jet Jackson (a show similar in appeal to The Proud Family for African-American families) and his role in Friday Night Lights, it shouldn't have surprised anyone for Young to someday have a breakout role as an adult lead character on a bigger project of his own.

That can't happen now, and it is nothing but sad that he didn't/couldn't get the help he needed in time.

Here is a case where one ends up believing the character featured on TV versus what the actor is like in real life.

Detective Frost seemed to have his act together on the show. Meanwhile there must have been something troubling Lee Thompson Young to take his own life.

Now it falls to the writers of Rizzoli and Isles how to explain the absence of Detective Frost. Do they kill off the character or just have him transferred? Does Jane Rizzoli’s brother take Frost’s place? Does the show acknowledge Young with a montage of his work or dedicate an episode to him?

I’m sure right now that this is the last thing on the mind of the show’s writers and rest of the crew and cast.

The really sad, creepy and stunning thing: he left no note. His diary had nothing in it indicating problems. People who knew/worked with him had no inkling there was any kind of personal issue that might even remotely lead to something like this. Just so very sad.
