Rock105 in Jacksonville's New Afternoon Drive Guy is The Grease Man

Greaseman is starting this Wednesday in afternoons on Rock 105.

GREAT day for broadcast geeks and Grease fans alike.

Now if they'll do a little more promotion than Real Radio did...
 
Great move by Cox. And by Grease. Should be a huge hit. Just surprised it took 'em this long.

Doug is one of the truly nice people in the biz, and (at this point) one of the two or three extraordinarily creative air talents remaining in radio. Jay Thomas (still on Sirius, right?) is one. Can't think of another...
 
It's funny, because there was a "Grease is Dead" rumor on the DC board last week and he had to do a promo to reassure people he was still around...
 
Doug was out of town and an over zealous fan posted the hoax on YouTube. When Grease came back he was truly pissed. He did the promo to reassure people he was still ALIVE. Grease fans knew he was as you put it "still around". He's been back at DC101 for awhile now. He is one of the nicest people in the biz. He deserves to be on as many stations as he can be. It is about time.

Yep, that's me. I miss the days of writing those strongly worded cease and desist letters!

The Greaseman was SMOKIN' this week on WFYV! Really sounded good (other than the buzz on the telephone when he aired calls, but that's not his fault)..

Good to hear him back on a real radio station during the week.
 
DCRTV reports today that Grease's Saturday AM show on DC101 in Washington is done...they're gonna go "more music" for weekends.

So, it's just Jacksonville for him now...
