Rogers Cable "Big 3 Affiliates" change in part of Newfoundland

Not sure how many communities served by Rogers Cable have seen this happen, but it does apply to residents of Port aux Basques, NL: Not too long ago (probably a week or two) the NBC, ABC, and CBS feeds from Boston (WHDH, WCVB, WBZ) were all replaced with Detroit signals (WDIV, WXYZ, WWJ). However, WWJ is new to the area because WJBK, the former CBS affiliate, went to FOX, and the void was filled by WTOL in Ohio. Only WSBK from Boston remains unaffected. This is a reversal of what happened about 13 years ago.

I noticed the cable lineup changes while visiting the local stadium on Wednesday. (I no longer have cable myself so I rely on visits to neighbours' houses and other places that still use cable.)

Here in Ontario Canada, where Rogers cable is available, many are still fighting to get NTV Newfoundland returned to their cable line up.

The big joke here is, although NTV claims to be "Canada's Super station" CHCH TV was recently sold to Channel Zero inc and they now say "Canada's Super station" as well...right around the same time NTV was pulled from the line up.

For CHCH to say "Canada's super station" it's very much an insult to NTV, and I think Rogers should stop declaring that it's the same thing when the two stations are clearly very different.
(I could go on forever about this...!")
