Rome major affliate news coming Monday? Could New York be involved?

Heard Jim Rome say that there was going to be a major announcement concerning an affliate, and it would affect the surrounding areas.

One of the things I thought of was a shift from a weak 1050 to the mega strong 660 which can be reached up and down the east coast

Bit of an out there speculation of course, but has anyone heard anything?

What's with the ad hominems? I don't think what he posted was nonsense. Apparently, Rome said he has a major affiliate announcement on Monday. That's news. Is it a new station in New York? Philadelphia? Atlanta? We'll see.

If jungle expansion is inevitable, sit back and enjoy it.
______________

What was so stupid? I just said what the news was, and I gave my idle speculation about what it could be

Rome said there'd be major affliate news on Monday that would even effect the surrounding area of said affliate.

1050 is a weak signal, 660 can be heard up and down the east coast

Its out there as a guess, which is why I said it was a guess. No real room for Rome at 660. Mike & The Mad Dog fought hard to get their show to be 5+ hours, they aren't going to have that cut down for a national show.

And there are too many events on WFAN for evenings to be anything but local talk.

The only real option is to throw Rome into the Overnight mix which could happen, but I sincerley think Premire/Rome would want the show to run in the graveyard shift in the #1 market in the country

No reason to get nasty

Re: Rome major affliate news coming Monday? Wait one more week

Rome just said the announcement has been pushed back a week.
______________

Twerp,
This board is about all sports radio, not just the shows YOU like. There is nothing stupid about the previous post.
