Ron Kilgore of KFWB/KNX Los Angeles, 71

LARadio.com is reporting that Ron Kilgore, formerly of KFWB and KNX in Los Angeles, died today (November 3) at the age of 71. No cause of death was given.

Sad news.

After his retirement from full time a few years ago he continued to freelance as the fill in for Frank Mottek doing business news.

Maybe the last 2-3 years his appearances were rare with KNX taking Bloomberg instead when Mottek was out. Of course, that position was eliminated last year so it's all Bloomberg all the time.

According to a Facebook post from his friend Larry Rice: "post op complications suspected. He went in for surgery Monday for a heart flutter. He posted that it all went well Tuesday. Carol posted he passed away this morning."
