Room for 107.3/107.5 translator for WDEL or Graffiti Radio?

Room for a translator on 107.3/107.5 in Wilmington?

I get some weird HD cut-outs in the city, with 93.7-HD-2.

And a WDEL translator could keep WDEL above WILM.

Any room for a translator in Wilmington?

Looking at this, 95.1 is there, and that's certainly pretty open. It couldn't be a Class A because of spacing rules, but if the FCC would test something like that, I'm sure a class A could fit perfect only 95.1

I do have to say, I'm not really thinking anyone would attempt this. But, what's the spacing in Wilmington like? I live right by Marcus Hook, PA (moved recently). I used to be up towards Lansdale. I'm pretty well able to get WDEL from my house stereo.

And, WDEL has a construction permit that will almost doubt it's coverage - I'm not sure we even need that FM Simulcast.

The only problem with the WDEL signal is in the Newark area while they are on their night pattern. I can barely hear them in my house, and they give way to a Canadian station near the post office during the winter. But from I-95 to Ridley Park (at least) they are dominate.

Hmm, I've had issues with WDEL north and west of the city. So I can imagine the issues in Newark.
896 is a dead-zone completely for DEL.

WDEL doesn't come in well at all in Hockessin at night. Of course neither WILM or WWTX come in very well up there either.

I never have any problem with WILM anywhere in NCCo day or night (except Main Street in Newark, where you can only hear WNRK and 1550 from Elkton. WWTX dies when they drop the power to 32 watts after sunset.

After sunset, I've had problems getting WILM above Silverside Rd and Concord Pike; Rt 41 in Hockessin around the area where the Catholic, Baptist, and United Methodist churches are located on Rt 41; and Below Rt 7 on Rt 71 by Red Lion United Methodist.

WDEL came in fine above Silverside Rd (of course their towers are only about a mile away), and also fine in Red Lion, but it was not listenable on Rt 41 by those churches about a week ago.

However, WILM and WWTX did come in better, but was not really listenable on Rt 41 that night either.

Shouldn't 97.1 be open for a Translator? It's too close to 96.9 in South Jersey and 96.7 in baltimore for a Class A. Would Delmarva apply for a FM translator?
