Rush Limbaugh Says Recent Scans Show Progression Of His Lung Cancer

http://www.insideradio.com/free/rus...cle_6970cc00-124b-11eb-b890-57848934aee9.html

Rush Limbaugh took time at the beginning of his program on Monday, Oct. 19 to provide an update on his health. Limbaugh was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung cancer in January. For the most part the syndicated talker has steered away from speaking regularly about his ongoing battle with the disease. But over the past few months he has provided some updates.

Recent scans show “some progression of cancer,” Limbaugh told listeners Monday. Previous scans showed the cancer going dormant. “We had stopped the growth. It had been reduced, and it had become manageable,” he continued. With signs of the illness progressing, Limbaugh says his treatment plan is being tweaked and includes another round of chemotherapy. “The idea now is to keep it where it is or maybe have it reduce again,” he said. “We’ve shown that that is possible. If it happened once, it can happen again. So that’s the objective of the current treatment plan.”

As he has done in past updates, the conservative host went back to a baseball analogy. “When I last left off, I was rounding second base and I was chugging toward third,” he said of his July health update. “So, I was rounding second, on the way to third — and I realized I wasn’t going to make it. I had to turn around and make a mad dash, head back to second base. I slid in there, got into second base safely, and that is where I am.”

Rush is giving update on his battles with Lung Cancer.

Via twitter and messageboards, Rush excused himself on air and seemed to be ill. It went into a rebroadcast of his Trump interview. He also seemed to mention "somebody whispering something in my ear" etc.
Possible that he wanted to stay on air but production team was advising him to stop.

@bahopbo tweet:
>>just after the 1:00 break he mentioned that he was struggling and was going to need to leave early.

I wasn't in the car at noon. The substitute host came back from commercial around 2:00, and that wouldn't have been a good time to mention exactly why he was there.

It's "treatment week." Rush said yesterday that it should have been last week but he wanted to be around for the election results. He got permission from his doctors to postpone it for a week. He said there's a slight possibility he'll be back on Friday. It depends on his reaction to the latest treatment.

He seemed to be doing fine today. He took a call and the man referred to Kamala as "Kammie" (sounds like Commie). So I guess we know what her nickname is going to be.

As he began his second hour today, Rush said he was glad to be back. He had planned to return Monday but it just wasn't possible. And he said the last two weeks were NOT a vacation and NOT a break. He coughed a couple of times and apologized for that but it was nothing serious.
