Rutland radio voices past and present unite to save a holiday tradition

A Who’s Who of local announcers are joining forces to raise money for the 50th annual WSYB Christmas Fund, which has reaped $2 million for families in need since its start in 1972.

Kudos to Pamal Broadcasting for allowing this and matching donations up to $5,000 but this is also a perfect example of why we still need live and local radio.

What's preventing WSYB from inserting promos for the local show during some of its local advertising slots? Even if they're all sold, you'd think a local business or two would be open to "donating" a few to a cause such as this.
