Ryan Seacrest Signs New Three-Year Deal With iHeartMedia.

KPFK has lots of live & local programming. Definitely not vanilla.
This is not a constructive comment that adds to the conversation, and I am pretty sure you know that. It's a marginal conversation to begin with.

It's amazing how much push back you get just for having an opinion that doesn't follow the crowd around here.

And that got them a 0.1 in one week out of the 4 in September in 12+. It got them a 0.0 for the month, like most prior months. Given that it is Pacifica, it's likely there are more people in the building than there are outside listening.

Some stations do it right to make the syndicated guys sound local. Parents lived in NE Tn. and a few years ago had my dad in the car and he was all excited that "Don Imus is working at a radio station In KIngsport, TN!" [Market #114 as far as ratings go.] Had to break it to him that , no, he wasn't IN Kingsport, his show was syndicated all over the USA and he was based in NYC he was just being syndicated to that station. Never saw someone so deflated and disappointed in my life. If I'd known he would take it like that, I would have kept my mouth shut. But kudos to the station for making it seem like he was live and local....and later found out that a lot of people thought he WAS.
