Sacramento voice and production legend Paul Fling

I had the great fortune to work with Paul at KFBK. We both were let go the same day (during the 1,500-person nationwide layoffs of January 2020).

He was already battling the cancer that would kill him five years later. Bonneville knew talent when they saw and heard it, and he's been their key production guy.

I love the last line of this obit because I can hear it in Paul's voice:

"In lieu of flowers, please listen to the radio - and turn it up loud."
