You know, KWKB signed on for the first time on Monday, August 30, 1999, with this Kids WB! afternoon schedule.

During 1999-2001 KSMO WB62 Kansas City aired the show in the early morning hours. Right around the time BKN Kids cut back on childrens programing. Could'nt remeber but it was around 6am or 6:30am

It was on at 6:30 am from 1999-2000.

Like most children's programming in the eighties and nineties, it was sold on a barter basis -- which meant stations paid no cash, but just gave up some advertising time during the show.

I guess stations used these shows for make-goods. I remember seeing ads for used car dealers and third rate vo-tech schools during the morning and afternoon cartoons
 
It would be worthless. With nowadays advertising restriction on children's shows and the competition from cable no station would want to clear a revival of that block. Besides, Disney already has 3 children's channels, plus that rerun-filled Saturday morning block on ABC. I don't think they would want to syndicate their cartoons like they did before. =/
 
The new Disney cartoon shows suck and have no value what so ever. Fox Kids was way better than all of them. Although Disney still holds the rights to all the Marvel and Saban shows from Fox Kids so maybe they could offer those for syndication. The Flintstones and Warner Bros cartoons aired in the 80's and early 90's in syndication and those shows were produced in the 50's and 60's. But like someone posted kids have moved on to cable. The Hub Qubo Nick Nicktoons Cartoon, Disney Disney XD Sprout Nick Jr Teen Nick and soon Disney Jr which will replace SoapNet. Also Kids On Demand which has a large invetory of children shows.
 
Just out of curiosity, how much longer would 4Kids TV have lasted on if not for it's abrupt end in December 2008?

Anyway, here's an idea: Just because 4Kids TV went away on Fox Network doesn't mean it couldn't continue on TV. According to wikipedia.org, 4Kids TV was merely just a syndication package that aired mostly on Fox stations. Well, 4Kids TV could return the way it was before. The only difference is it really would be a syndicated package. It could air a 3-hour EI package like Cookie Jar used to...
 
Yes, but let's face it: 4Kids cartoons are anything but E/I. In the whole time they have been on FOX, they had like what? 3 or at most 4 shows that counted as E/I in six years? 4Kids almost never buys the rights for anything they can't sell merchandising of. Either toys or video or card games. And E/I are so restrictive that they would be unable to sell their stuff without being frowned upon by the FCC.

Fox only signed a 4 year contract deal with 4kids. Fox Kids somewhat contined but on ABC Family in the mornings. Many of the Fox affilates started to hate the Fox Kids block from what I heard. Their court shows, talk shows, expanison of evening news and sitcoms got more viewers vs. Bobby World and Power Rangers.

It was about more than ratings -- it was about the ability to sell advertising during the kids block. The problem was that as most childrens' TV advertising moved to cable, local stations were unable to sell their local breaks. And that meant that there was no money in carrying the kids block.

Aside from that, there were the same demographic issues that caused major market "big three" network affiliates to get out of the weekday kids' TV business back in the seventies -- which is that kids shows make a poor lead in to local news, since kids mostly don't want to watch the news. After Fox switched affiliates in many major markets in the mid-nineties, it ended up with a bunch of stations that had established news departmens...and no desire to lead into their newscasts with cartoons or "Power Rangers". And even some of the legacy Fox affiliates had started adding newscasts -- and once they started running morning and early evening newscasts, those stations also wanted to get out of the kids' TV business.
