Following the closing of the sale of Sovereign Communications’ eight stations in Marquette and Iron Mountain MI to Armada Media’s AMC Partners Escanaba and Marquette Radio LLC, four of the stations have debuted new formats and identities.
AMC Partners, which operates as Radio Results Network, has flipped Classic Rock “93 Rock” 93.1 WIMK Iron Mountain to Active Rock as “93.1 K-Rock” and Hot AC “Star 94.3” WZNL Norway/Iron Mountain to Soft AC “94.3 The Breeze“. The flips take the stations out of direct format competition with a pair of new sister stations: Classic Rock “Eagle 107.3” WUPF Powers and CHR “94.9 The Bay” Chocolay Township respectively.
