Saturday Night Live 11/7 with Taylor Swift (Review as it happens)

Tonight, NBC aired the November 7th SNL episode hosted by Taylor Swift. I should mention this thread was originally posted/blogged several weeks before R-I asked me to no longer blog and, tonight, I'm merely making a couple of observations about the repeat so hopefully this thread will not disappear. Thank you R-I. ;)

In the Hollywood Dish sketch, Bill Hader had a problem keeping a straight face after doing a spit-take all over Kristen's character. I don't recall that happening originally. Either I missed it originally or perhaps they replaced the aired sketch with the rehearsal sketch (although if that happens, they sometimes mention that). But I found this sketch funnier this time around than the first time.

Saw the entire T.R.A.A.A.P.D. sketch this time and it was ok.

Everyone was right. Don Pardo did indeed intro 'Really! with Seth and Amy'. ;D

There was no ATT/Mariah Carey commercial this time around.

No technical glitch this time with Amy introducing Taylor for her 2nd number. We saw Amy from a frontal camera view and then the view switched to Taylor. Usually, we see whomever off to the side introducing the musical guest who is in the same camera view. SanDiegoInExile mentioned at the time that the west coast feed showed Amy. So, did they re-tape a 5 second thing with Amy later on or just show a different camera angle? We may never know. However, I said the first time around that Taylor looked very elegant for her second number. She did but I don't recall her wearing a strapless dress for the 2nd number. She may have but I don't recall. So they may have aired the rehearsal performance for which she may have worn a different outfit than the originally aired version. Perhaps I'll have to check SNL online. Perhaps. :D

Again, as I've said several times this season, Taylor has been the high point this season. She has a really good sense of comedic timing.

The Joseph Gordon Leavitt repeat airs next week.
