Sorry to see the show move over to 103.1, can't pick it up here in the lehigh valley......really didn't like the 'romeo' show but i am a 52 year old hag and i know the show isn't geared toward the 'upper male demo'...............

I know Entercom is hyping this move to WILK as a step up, but when you think about it, it is really a step down. WKRZ has a wide reaching geographic area. You can only get 103.1 in Wilkes-Barre, Scranton (it's complete static in Hazleton) and outside that area you have to listen to one of the AM frequencies. And they only have a limited reach. There's a lot of people out there who will simply not tune it. Yeah you can get it online, but how many people actually go online to listen to a radio show. You may get the hard core fans of the show, but the casual listener will just tune into another fm station.

Also, as an aside. Does anyone in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton actually listen to 980? With 103.1 broadcasting WILK, what is the point of using 980 for the same thing. If I lived up there, I would listen to an fm before ever listening for the same thing on am. Just wondering.

I listen to the 980 AM signal. Perhaps it's just habit, but it seems to 'come naturally'.
Also the 103.1 signal seems a bit more finicky, in terms of tuning, than the AM signal.

The main signal in Scranton is actually 910 kHz. In places like Clarks Summit and the Abingtons 910 is way stroner than either 103.1 or 980. At night 980 is directional and has only a marginal signal north. Also...in buildings in downtown Scranton 910 is very good and 103.1 is so-so.

I miss the show while I'm on the Interstate driving through Frackville. What's a 50-something to listen to on a Saturday night.

i'm with 89birddawg on this one and mr merillat, i listened on 107.9 in the lehigh valley (not too bad of a signal here) and feel the show will lose a lot of listeners.............i remember listening to the show when the playmates beep beep was a 'hit' on the show.......................i only tuned in driving in the car and won't be listening to the show via the internet........

Doing an oldies show on a CHR station in 2010 is product suicide. This show probably ran longer on KRZ than it should have.

Doing an oldies show on a talk station also does not make a whole lot of sense.

The show probably should have been cancelled.

Why would you cancel a show that has been and continues to produce ratings and is local? The numbers on WILK on Saturday night with repeats of national talk shows are very low and this will boost those numbers and bring some new people to the WILK signal that might tune back for talk shows during the week.
