I've always thought that the whole "Playing what we want" slogan was stupid. I was listening to the launch of one of the Jack stations online (maybe KJKK/DFW?) and one of their rules was "Don't tell us what to play." Yeah, that makes sense... you've got stations with extensive callout and research statistics to make sure that whenever a listener turns on their radio, it's a song they like that's playing, and these guys are basically saying, "If you don't like what you hear, STFU!" They may as well run a promo asking them to tune out...
As for Q acknowldeging Freedom, what's the point, especially at this point in the game (if you would like to call it that). They know they're the top dog by far, and barely anyone knows 104.7 exists, so why bother dissing them?
