I've heard through the Grapevine that the scratchy throated Scott Ferrall will be filling in on Fox Sports Radio.
On Friday/Saturday 2AM-6AM EST, 11PM -3AM PST in for Ben Maller
On Monday/Tuesday 10PM - 2AM EST, 7PM - 11PM PST in for JT The Brick

who's more desperate - Ferrell or FSR? Does it really matter with a network that is all but out of business?

Yep, talk about birds of a feather. Both FSR and Ferrall enjoyed a lot of success early on, but they've both faded into oblivion through a series of questionable career moves.

I'm a Ferrall Fan

And here's why-

First of all, when he first started he was the most original host ever. I liked the fact he was the "Rock and Roll" host- with the hard rock on in the background.

I liked the fact he was a hockey nut. I think he related to the audience well- hockey is the rock and roll sport- it makes for a good mix. Everybody talks football, baseball, and, God help us, basketball. Who else talks hockey?

I believe Ferrall mixes better with a FOX audience than JT or Jim Rome does. I would recommend they give him an honest to goodness opportunity here- neither of them have anything to lose.

Re: I'm a Ferrall Fan

Oh great, we can look forward to a weekend of a drunken Ferrall discussing nothing but the NHL. Cant wait for his incessant screaming over loud generic rock guitar music. This will make for absolutely riveting sportstalk radio.

Re: I'm a Ferrall Fan

It is great to hear Ferrall on FSR.

Now you know

About how I feel when I hear sports talk host try to talk in urban slang and talk about the NBA!

I listened to the first hour of Farrell's show on FSR last night- stayed up about three hours past my bedtime.

There were technical difficulties but you know what- it was original and entertaining- something that current sports talk radio lacks dearly.

And- you know something- I have to LOVE anybody who will

A- Really say how it is about women's tennis- that the only reason anybody watches is because we like to check out Anna and Maria.

B- Talk NASCAR within the thread of all other sports- something most hosts should but cannot do.

C- Supposedly go to a baseball game in Philly, stand up, and scream "THIS PLACE AIN'T GOT NOTHING ON PNC PARK!" as well as mention he has a picture of Willie Stargell on his office wall.

MAN- THAT'S MY KIND OF GUY!

POUR ME A BEER!

yeah!!!!!!!!!!!! he's my kind of guy too....i hope he gets a gig soon...

Re: I'm a Ferrall Fan

It would be AMAZING if anyone on here refuted that they didn't need Ferrall.

I really want some of the people on this board who tried to say that David Stien was hilarious say that Scott Ferrall isn't.

Oh, yeah- that "Winner, Winner- Chicken Dinner" beats Ferrall by a mile . . .
