Scott Ledger's "stealth parody" of bad sports radio

I just wanted to give a big ups to Scott Ledger, who did a hilarious stealth parody of bad sports talk radio hosts during the 3:50 segment today on 98.7 The Fan.

Scott started the skit by saying that they wanted listeners to text in with a major sports figure that they'd love to sit down and have an "off the record" conversation with.

One guy texted in and said he wanted to have a discussion with either Teddy Atlas or The Govenator. Scott acted like he was confused and thought that the listener was talking about professional wrestler Tony "Mr. USA" Atlas, rather than boxing trainer Teddy Atlas.

After the commercial, The Ledge corrected himself and explained that he had never heard of Teddy Atlas (which is absurd given that Teddy is the co-host of ESPN's "Friday Night Fights" and was routinely on HBO Boxing in the 1980s and 1990s) and got Teddy confused with the pro wrestler because, he claimed, the other guy the listener wanted to talk to was "The Govenator" who Ledge thought was pro wrestler Jesse "The Body" Ventura, rather than Arnold Schwarzenegger. Too funny, and what a brilliant bit by The Ledge.

After another commercial break, Ledger said he'd love to talk to John Wooden, who Ledge claimed was a former L.A. Lakers coach and, he thought, also may have coached in college, either at Cal or USC.

That was the best part of the skit, Scott thinking that the legendary UCLA coach, who won 10 national titles and is widely viewed as the greatest college coach ever, was primarily an NBA coach (he never coached for the Lakers) and was unfamiliar with his college credentials.

Anyways, what a great comedy bit that Scott came up with, pretending to be a clueless music DJ moonlighting as a weekend sports host and pretending he had no actual knowledge of sports trivia or history. 5 stars all around, Ledge.

So he was pretending to be Ron Diaz?
