Scripps soon moving Katz TV subchannels to ION stations

Laff on KABC 7.3 was replaced by This TV and 7.4 debuted with QVC 2

Allen Media has announced that they will include This TV for Disney's ABC O&O division.

As relates to HSN/QVC...all of the ABC O&Os outside of Chicago (which is channel-sharing with WXFT/UniMas) are airing one of their networks on the .4 slots. HSN is on 7.4 NYC and San Francisco, 11.4 in Raleigh/Durham, and 30.4 in Fresno; QVC is on 6.4 in Philadelphia and 13.4 in Houston, and the aforementioned QVC2 on 7.4 in Los Angeles.

In an indirect sense, ABC traded Laff for HSN/QVC, and gained This TV as another diginet offering.

So, the question here is, will Newsy indeed be going on sub-channels, or is this the Summer the off-network shows play out the contracts on Ion, and come October 1, Ion TV essentialy becomes Newsy.

I recently received an email from KSHB-TV & they said that they, & KMCI-TV, will launch ATSC 3.0 on August 24, 2021. I imagine that the Grit & Laff subchannels on KSHB-TV, which are also carried on KPXE-TV, will go away on that date.

Might Email them back and ask if they are replacing them with Newsy and so on,keeping Bounce TV,Court TV Mystery and hopping providers will add Court TV Mystery,GETTV and the others this year.

More likely a subchannel. As of now, Scripps' KGTV (ABC) San Diego, WTVR (CBS) Richmond and KRIS (NBC) Corpus Christi are planning to add it on their xx.6 subchannels come October 1st, according to RabbitEars.
