Season finale of Dallas on TNT

And Katharine Wentworth, played by actress Morgan Brittany, was Pam and Cliff's half-sister. She's the one who ran over Bobby and killed him back in Season 7.

Yes - IIRC, Brittany was a very popular model, and did many TV and print commercials (shampoo, make-up, etc.) in that era.

She did a fair bit of acting as a child, under her real name, Suzanne Cupito.

Anybody interested in my prediction about the identity of Christopher's "real" mother? Clue: she's a regular on every episode of the "new" Dallas. Of course, I could be wrong.

Kristin Shepard (Sue Ellen's sister and the lady who shot JR) is Christopher's biological mother.

I'm guessing you think its Anne (Brenda Strong) because her ex husband sent her that photo with her and a newborn baby. At the time, I thought they were sitting it up to have Anne be Rebecca's long lost biological mother. Oh, soap operas...

I thought it was Kristin Shepard too.

Me too!

I think the show made an especially good use of music in the final two episodes of the season....first using Johnny Cash's "When The Man Comes Around" in the ending montage in the second to last episode, and then using another Cash tune (whose title I forget)...in the final scene of the finale where John-Ross re-discovers his "dark side" in the downtown Dallas office tower side-by-side with daddy "JR".

I....for one....am praying for the health of Larry Hagman (81), and Ken Kercheval (76).....Without them....the show would be sorely lacking that certain "spice" that kept people watching for so many years the first time around!

The Johnny Cash tune that was used in the season finale of the new "Dallas" was the song called "God's Gonna Cut You Down". That song has also been used in recent car commercial commercials, particularly the instrumental intro. I think it may have been Dodge that used the song. I could be wrong. The song was also used a few years ago when TNT picked up the short-lived series "Southland". The song was used in a promo for "Southland". Of course, now "Southland" is ironically airing on GMC (Gospel Music Channel). Anyway, that is all.

Thanks for the info. I thought there was something familiar about the first few bars of the song's instrumental intro. I seem to remember hearing it in commercials for the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Yes, and that scene showing Bobby tossing the envelope into the fireplace, offering that teasing glimpse of the photo, is indeed the reason I suspect Annie is Christopher's biological mother. But your suggestion about Rebecca is tantalizing as well.

So far, I have seen no conclusive script suggesting Kristin's involvement. Have I missed something?

For what it's worth, it is mentioned on Dallas's Wikipedia page and also on the character's (Kristin Shepard) Wiki page:

At the end of the third season, Kristin returned yet again and soon thereafter was found drowned in the Southfork Ranch swimming pool. She had overdosed on drugs and, in her stupor, fell and hit her head and went over the balcony railing, landing in the pool. After Kristin's death, it was learned that her husband, Jeff Faraday, may have been the father of her child, who had become Bobby and Pam's adopted son, Christopher Ewing. Jeff claimed Kristin told him she had miscarried the child she had conceived with J.R and that the child she gave birth to was his.

And later on I think it's either the 11th or 12th season, Jeff Faraday's sister tried to get custody of Christopher but end up dropping the lawsuit because what I heard that Christopher missed her adopted mother Pam, that's why she dropped the case.
