This is all I know. I don't listen to KJR generally, if I need sports I like 710 or 1090. But I would say that the Times has been covering the Seattle Center site more than the Sodo site. To say that is because the Times is favoring the northern site may be a stretch though, the AIG proposal is getting the most attention from the mayor and the council, thereby they are producing the most news.
The Times has to be as subjective as they can, which is something that the politicians and to a lesser extent KJR don't have to be. I think the Sodo site is the best choice, but the city is afraid the Key is going to become a white elephant (a fear 20 years too late) http://sportsradiopd.com/2017/08/seattle-times-bans-its-writers-from-appearing-on-kjr/
