Serious Lack of Sponsors Overnights on PIX-11

So, just because no major commercials ran during one show, it means that there was a "serious lack of sponsors" for the entire "overnight"? Could it be that some folks choose not to advertise on a show like "South Park," even sanitized for broadcast TV and airing at such a late hour? Did you and Rodent stick around and watch the show that followed "South Park" and pay attention to the commercial breaks on that show? Doesn't "The Jeffersons" usually run at that time?

I think with the rise of households discontinuing land lines, combined with the downfall of the economy, phone sex might be a dying trend...

there was no late night phone sex commercials?

Not on PIX-11. As stated all ads were promos for PIX-11 either for their news of for Inside Edition. But their were plenty of ads during Family Guy this morning 1230AM-130AM on PIX-11's sister station FOX Connecticut last night. NETTS - New England Tractor Trailer Training School (yeah that's just what I want to see when driving - an 18 Wheeler with a sign on it that says STUDENT DRIVER"), 2 different SEX LINES (QUEST and I don't know the other), a promo to win a TV from PC Richards in conjunction with the FOX CT Morning News, and a few other sports.

Kind of funny that no one is buying into South Park at late-night, especially on a major station in the nation's largest market. I would think WPIX would sell any unsold time to a direct response company or, of course, a sex line -- you generally find those cluttering around late night.

And WPIX doesn't air "Magnum" reruns, so that's not a good sign for "South Park"!

On the other hand South Park is heavily torrented, so that could cut into it. The cable people saw it in first run and most others have downloaded their favourite episodes.

I just like how Marc just puts "SEX LINES" in all caps. :D
