This is so bumming...when O-Rock first came on the air in '02 or '03, they kicked crazy amounts of tail! I mean, even now, the music is somewhat better than 101-1's.What boggles my mind is why the two modern rockers in town tend to have more talk than rock! Perhaps the "high road" for O-Rock would be dropping the banter and going into some decent music! (Mind you, I'm not insulting Sexy Savannah or any other O-Rock personality)Radio-XByron said:May the ship keep on sinking!
It's because they had Howard Stern on the morning. The minute he left, they dropped fast.radiodxrichmond said:This is so bumming...when O-Rock first came on the air in '02 or '03, they kicked crazy amounts of tail! Radio-XByron said:May the ship keep on sinking!
I'm glad I'm not the only one that hates the trend on rock stations with less of a focus on music and more of a focus on "personality". It's been like this with every alternative or rock station I've seen in the various places I lived. Since moving here I can't stand the DJ's on both stations, and replacing the 80 minutes of music with more cookie-cutter DJ banter means I'm not going to listen to that station on the drive home from work. The funny thing is that 104.1 on weekends, has a much better alternative playlist from past and new songs and that's just filler. And the weekend DJ is never on for much more than it takes to say what he played. I do make it a point to listen to that station on the weekends, and I can not say that about either of the so called "rock alternatives". Maybe if the playlist was expanded from the same overplayed songs, and there was less talking, they'd be better. Of course I'm not in the radio business so what do I know :radiodxrichmond said:This is so bumming...when O-Rock first came on the air in '02 or '03, they kicked crazy amounts of tail!
