Shaved Vengeance: Britney Spears in Billboard Battle with WFLZ in Tampa

  • Thread starter Corned Beef and Cabbage
  • Start date

In the event that Ms Spears should have any future hit songs, could one blame ClearChannel if they decided to pass on them?

I think the track record shows, that this company would promote anyone or anything that would make them a buck, as long as the FCC didn't mind.....

I think the billboards are brilliant. I think that Spears attorneys demanding them be taken down is just what Clear Channel expected which makes the whole idea even more brilliant.

Publicity is super, don’t you think?

Amos, you just made beer come out my nose...

Well anyway, yeah, I guess the billboards are "brilliant". Not quite as good as MJ, BJ, and OJ... but close.

Did you read MJ's comments.......he is pissed..........now he is calling out his Pee Wee ( PD for you knuckleheads)
Tommy Chuck......he wouldn't stand up and keep the billboards. I had heard Chuck was taking credit for them, and now he wont stand by his morning guy.

Do you not get this? Let me help you out.
1. Clear Channel had to know that this was going to happen.
2. M.J. had to know this would happen.

It was all part of the plan.
1. Really cool billboards.
2. Spears people writing a letter to have them removed.
3. The letter finding it’s way to the Smoking Gun.
4. M.J. on every local news program in every market the billboards were posted.

Really GOOD publicity.

You STILL don’t get it?

My hats of to the Clear Channel folks. It’s no wonder they are the 8 million pound gorilla in radioland.
