Shern-Min takes over 11 News (KHOU) This Morning in Houston.

I was wondering if it's a permanent or temporary move. Meanwhile, Ron Trevino's former tag-team partner Debra Duncan has now taken over co-hosting duties with Sam Malone on "Great Day Houston". Also, Vincente Arenas is now flying solo on weekend evenings. Will he get paired with newcomer Allison Triarsi. And Whatever happened to Chau Nguyen? Did she left Channel 11?
 
Yes, Chau left on her own. She was leaving to travel. It must be nice. Not sure on the Shern-Min front. But, it would make sense for someone who's been at KHOU as long as she has, to want to have weekends off. Not sure if she's the right fit or not, but she does have name recognition.
 
I think Shern-Min has worked every single major station in Houston, Except FOX 26. She started working with 13(ABC), then doing weekends on Channel 2(NBC), and finally, her career took her to Channel 11. I think Channel 11 has made the the right choice for Deb's replacement, and Shern-Min has moved herself up. Not bad for somebody who has to get at 3:30 in the middle of the night. I think she's well-paired with Ron, Dave, & Darby.
 
From what I've found out from inside sources, Shern-Min Chow has been named interim replacement for Debra Duncan, who has been named permanent host for "Great Day Houston". Channel 11 on the other hand is looking for somebody permanent; Probably from its parent Belo, and its stations in Texas and Louisiana.
