Sirius to Broadcast U.K.'s Radio 1 in the USA

Wonderful News!
The Wall Street Journal reported on June 21, 2005 that Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. signed an agreement to broadcast BBC's Radio 1 music channel in the US 24/7 starting later this summer. U.S. listeners will hear programs in a time-shifted format, meaning that the programs will air in the Eastern time zone at the same time of day they are broadcast in the U.K.
______________
Peace is the word, and the Voice of the Peace is THE station, 24 hours a day. (Tribute to the VOP 1540 which broadcast for 20 years in the Eastern Mediterranean)

I have a feeling if this proves popular here stateside, we'll get the cluster (radio 1-7) plus the digital products as well. My only big complaint is sirius is "time-shifting" the programing to meet with the US market demand (Moyles 6a Eastern,ect..) I see it as necessary evil, but would rather have seen them stream it live.

I think they will simulcast the schedule as it is in London. But the question I have is what will the do about the westcoat? Will they have 2 feeds?

1 feed to the US targeting the Eastern Seaboard.
SIRIUS launched the acclaimed BBC music channel RADIO 1 in AMERICA this past WEDNESDAY (8/10) at 9a (ET) during the popular CHRIS MOYLES BREAKFAST SHOW.
