SNY (Sportsnet New York) on Comcast Hartford area?

A relative who lives in Farmington said he saw an advertisement in the Hartford Courant Sunday that SNY (Sportsnet New York) would be on Channel 98 starting today on Comcast. Can anyone verify if this channel is live?

I see the ad of Page L-12 (the special Baseball 08 section) of Sundays Courant. I don't have Comcast cable so I can not confirm or deny it. I have COX where I live. All I know is it is not yet listed on COMCASTs website, ZAP2IT.COm, TVGUIDE.COM, or SNY's own website.

I saw the commercial on TV for the first time yesterday... something along the lines like "you can't get SNY on the DishNetwork, but now you can get it from Comcast!"

Funny, we've had SNY since its launch a few years ago (on basic cable, mind you). This was when we still had our good old Adelphia/Tele-Media!

I'd like to tell Comcast where to shove those commercials. Thanks for nothing!

That's pretty lame considering that no real sports fan is a Dishnetwork subscriber anyway. Dish still doesn't carry the YES network either, with the high carriage cost as their reason.
