Air America is going to go off the air today, so whats going to happen to 1310 WDTW? Format change?

Looks more like few people care to respond to your snarky thread topic. Guessing you're a "true believer" conservative who likes to kick others when they're down. Life is not a football game, buddy.

I'm just saying what's going to happen to that station since its network is shutting down, the reason why I said "if anyone cares about that station" is because I hear no one talking about it and it looks like its not on the ratings. I'm not conservative, either.

It would be interesting, to say the least. For as many AM stations that have gone dark in Michigan within the last 15 years, would anyone miss this one?

Maybe we can see the FCC start its own "Cash for Clunkers"..."Tax Breaks for Towers".

I have an idea for AM 1310. I would say that 1310 should be changed to a Spanish radio format catering to metro detroit's latino population.

1310 should be changed to Spanish format.

Do you have a problem with the Progressive political slant of the station's programming? Then say so, without spitting. Detroit is a major league Democratic stronghold, and, frankly, some of WDTW's programming deserves a slot on a bigger signal like WJR. That is, if the corporate owners were honest in reflecting the interest, needs, and necessities of the population they serve, over the corporate needs of the guy who's makin' tens of millions running another corporate giant into the ground.

I have nothing against the shows, but I don't think that would happen. It seems CC could care less about this station. I don't live in Detroit, but I highly doubt they have actually advertised this station, and probably many Detroiters don't even know this station exists. Also strange is that WDTW also doesn't have a live stream. CC should put WDTW on a stronger signal, just like CC has done with sister progressive talkers KTLK 1150 in LA and KPOJ 620 Portland, which are actually showing some progress.
