So What's Actually out there in HD Radio locally?

FYI: JR93.7-HD is now on the air. One channel only... no HD-2 yet.

Now, Magic 93 and 97-9 X are on the air in HD, one channel only on each.

Hopefully they are working on it. Right now, 92.9's analog -> digital transition is waaay out of sync.

98.5-HD2 = All Comedy Radio
101.3-HD2 = blues
102.3-HD2 = live rock
103.1-HD2 = smooth jazz

HD radio..how wonderful.

Anyone remember where AM Stereo went?

Because there was no standard. The systems were not compatible. If you had a Motorola type radio and the station was a Kahn or Hazletine system they wouldn't pick it up. The radios actually had switches on the bottom. I have a Sony model in my collection. It was doomed from the start.

HD is different because we learned from that. That's why it's IBOC. "In band on channel"

The non believers remind me of my early days in radio 30 years ago when they told me to not get wrapped up in FM, it was a fad.

Emerging technology goes fast nowadays. You'll see.

So, is Citadel done playing with HD? It's been awhile since they "launched" HD, and 92.9 is still way out of sync and locked to digital (lack of Ibiquity license?), and JR 93.7 is not HD anymore.
