No, for now Spiff (and soon Randy) will be on the afternoon drive. They can fetch alot of their old listeners. I could see Randy and Spiff going to Mornings when (most likely not if) Don Imus says something REALLY stupid again and gets fired, AGAIN! And yes, he is in New York. Randy and Spiff are in the local Metro Atlanta area.
 
Yes Imus spent over 30 years on the same frequency before an obnoxious ccomment got him thrown off the air. So then obviously he will say something stupid real soon and lose his job.
 
Well, let`s see, Don Imus said something real stupid a few weeks ago and almost got fired AGAIN!!!! But, I think the Regular Guys From Atlanta hold the recent record for being fired and coming back. hll, They`ve been fired about 6 times in the past 10 years in Atlanta!
 
You always talk in such definites. He almost got fired? How do you know were you there? Do you know his boss? I didn't hear his employer say one negative thing about it.

TRG only got fired once in ATL for an on-air comment (if you can call it that; the backward-masked dirty talk that got played forward over a Honda ad). The only other time they got fired in ATL was due to the imbroglio with the on-air staff at Viva.

Final score: fired twice, once for dangerous words on the air, once for something off the air.
 
But, didn`t the Regular Guys get fired at WGST and several other times when they were let go at 96 Rock? No mis-conduct there, but they were replaced by others and "fired" off these staions, I believe.

IIRC, they left WGST when they went back to 96 Rock the second time. Just a jog down the hall at the Building of Death.

Dude stop making stuff up on this board. GST did not fire them. Nor is Randy starting 10/1/08 on oldies.
 
RTibbs is showing his love for me. The regular Guys were REMOVED from WGST!!!! You can call it what you want!!!! Are they still there????? The first post about Randy Cook going to True Oldies 106.7 was posted by somebody else!!!! It has been reported by many others besides me. RTibbs, I really love all of your attention, but REALLy! Do ya` really love me THAT much?????? I think that RTibbs is in another galaxy!!!
 
The regular guys were upgraded to 96 Rock after spending a short time at WGST. They got promoted to 96 rock then later fired.

Didn't Neal Boortz get fired by WGST and then get picked up by WSB? Ditto for Clark? And didn't Hannity get fired from WGST as well, and then get picked up by WABC?

This is because "fired" is the new term for what we used to call "grabbing a better opportunity"...

At least this galaxy is missing two planets: Uranus and Planet Radio.
 
I understand that the Regular Guys went back to 96 Rock after WGST. But, their time on WGST was not generally well received by many of the die-hard news listeners of WGST. In other words, their style didn`t gel with the station or format. This was certainly not a crime. But, many at WGST did want the change from what I have heard. The Regular Guys also felt better to get back to 96 Rock (although it didn`t last too long).

...which brings us back to Randy & Spiff. Amazing how some threads evolve... :D
 
Spiff keeps giving hints that he and Randy will soon be reunited on True Oldies 106.7. Imus may be pulled off the station.
