Someone In The Fox 25 Newsroom Gives Someone Else The Finger--And It Goes Out On The Air!
The Boston Herald's Inside Track column reported in today's (December 13th) paper that the other day, a high-level manager in the WFXT-25 newsroom gave someone else in the newsroom "the finger".
Trouble was that this was about 5:05 P.M. on a weekday afternoon, and the station's early-evening newscast was on the air. Like all other Fox 25 newscasts, the 5 P.M. 'cast originates from the station's newsroom (which you may know is in an atrium the station constructed a couple of years ago at it's Dedham studios). And viewers actually saw this management type display "the finger".
WFXT public-relations person Maggie Hennessey-Nees told the column that yes, this incident indeed took place, and that the management person involved was suspended for two weeks.
