SOMERS AT SHEA! TIME TO TURN THE PAIGE! PABLO GUZMAN! BENIGNO!

WFAN's Steve Somers was at Shea Stadium on Friday to turn the number of games left at Shea to 32.

I would guess 70% of WFAN listeners have the Internet at home. This morning WFAN's Tony Paige kills time by playing Mike Francesa's interview with Yankees manager Joe Girardi that aired Friday afternoon. Lazy! Lazy broadcasting. You can hear the interview on WFAN's Web site (podcast section) While I'm typing this post Paige is billboarding Francesa's interview with NY Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum is coming up in a few minutes.

I can't stand Paige as a host. Mike & Chris once poked fun of Paige with his selection of topics. Paige is going on a vacation this week. Thank God! About six weeks ago I called Paige to complain about the way Willie Randolph was handling the NY Mets. I guess you can't complain about one of his buddies.

Prior WFAN full-time hosts Steve Somers & Joe Benigno did an excellent job with that shift.

We have to give WFAN's newest updater Tom Stevens an "A" with his work. I caught him for the first time doing updates on Mike & The Dog program (on YES) and he was good. I've heard him on 660am before but this was the first chance I had to see him on TV.

Just in case you missed the news on former NY Daily News reporter Pablo Guzman, per the News Guzman had a heart attack this week. Guzman, currently works for ch. 2 WCBS-TV/NY, back in the '80s he did a great job with his Sunday column about music & radio. Guzman was kind to this poster and printed my remarks on the radio biz. Please say a prayer for Mr. Guzman that he starts to feel better.

Is Joe Benigno becoming a star on SNY-TV's "Daily News Live"? Did you see him dancing last week to Rod Stewart's "Do You Think I'm Sexy'? He's not a bad dancer.

I second your thoughts on Pablo - such a VALUABLE part of NYC media as a WHOLE - get well soon, Pablo!!

Edit...I forgot to mention Paige hung up on me after I complained about Willie Randolph.

I wish Radio-info went back to old way of doing things....if you made an error and wanted to fix it...no time limit to correct your post.
