South Dakota in Alabama--7/31 Eskip

New state for me! Whee!

2-KUSD/Vermillion at 1955 CDT w/ Lawrence Welk and the distinctive SDPB bird logo.

5-KDLT/Sioux Falls at 1913 CDT w/ "Dateline NBC", national ads, show promos, one of which had "KDLT" in large block letters across the top of the screen

5 UNID at 2014 CDT, Fox affiliate, apparently from Mountain time zone, showing The Simpsons an hour behind local WBRC-6.

6 UNID at 1909 CDT, a faint but unmistakable overlay image of a CBS promo for "Cold Case" over local Fox aff. WBRC.

And the most maddening and frustrating of all, my first FM E-skip and I can't prove it . . .

92.3 UNID approx. 1930 CDT w/ Gordon Lightfoot's "The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald". Yes.net confirmed that it was not usual suspect WLWI-Montgomery, which wouldn't be overly likely to play it anyway. Rapid City, SD has a classic hits station (KQRQ) on 92.3, but they're not on Yes, nor is their playlist available on their website. And it died before the end of the song. I just KNOW that was it,but . . . FM E-skip, why do you taunt me so?

It was KQRQ!

The station confirmed (via prompt and courteous e-mail) that they were in fact playing the song at that time, so my hunch was correct. Duhamel Broadcasting seems to be quite DX-friendly.
