What's wrong with "Obamacare"?
 
Bill, it's a buzzword reflecting bias. It's no better than saying "Newt Get-Rich" or President Osama. Your asking the question shows how far we've gone in accepting built-in bias in our news. If its proponents called the law Obamacare as well, then the term would be neutral, as using it would then become neutral as well. They don't.
 
It's an interesting choice ... on one hand it's a one-word shorthand that encapsulates a lot of time, a lot of complexity, etc. On the other hand, some people dislike it. Brian Williams on NBC used it one night and caught himself and said he didn't mean it in the negative context. Maybe it'll make the Oxford dictionary in 2012?!
 
My mistake... before, I mentioned the new exciting National News Syndicated format was to start THIS morning at 9. Turns out it's TOMORROW (TUE 1/3) morning.
