Never heard of Sean Ross, the maker of those Punch Wars and now is working for Billboard. However,
Tampa looks like a good city for a 4-way competition!
You have Mix 100.7 who's the CHR-leaning Hot AC station that the women adore, especially Scotty Davis, which is almost always solo during his morning show, which also happens to air in Las Vegas in KPLV/My 93.1 (ironically siblings by iHeart). Great air staff, wished they were Top 40 (oh right...there's close sister FLZ).
You have WiLD 94.1 who's the urban-leaning Rhythmic Top 40 that the kids in the rural suburbs loves, and the African-Americans (not to be racist
)who will listen to along with 95.7 THE BEAT. All live and local, since they have been acquired by Beasley.
You have 93.3 FLZ who's the Mainstream Heritage CHR station, which is #3 in the Tampa Rankings at the moment, and most liked in all of the Tampa Bay Area. There is D.C.'s Kane Show (who ironically used to be in Tampa, again ironically working for FLZ). Perfect air staff with Katie Sommers, Scotty Davis, Brody (national Preminum Choice shows, but local). Then there is DJ GoofyWhiteKid, Jamie Ferrira, and Brian Fink, the real DJ mixers. I LOVE FLZ SO MUCH!
Then you have HOT 101.5 which is Cox-owned and most people wouldn't even realize they don't pitch anymore, until now, which you by know already. Tampa Bay's place for "ALL THE HITS!". Rhythmic-leaning and loves playing new music and hip-hop tracks. You won't hear much if any rock music, like Fall Out Boy or Echosmith (you'll hear them on sister WSUN-FM/97X
I decided to do this punch war because I love innovative CHR's such as FLZ and would easily be my first choice, because I live in this market.
