Spectrum News launches new regional news network in Georgia

November 9, 2025 - Spectrum News has launched a new regional news chanle for its TV subscribers in Georgia.

The Network will cover places most especially the Atlanta area TV market according to the release.


Spectrum News launching in the state/

Spectrum News today announced the launch of Spectrum News Georgia, bringing its award-winning local journalism to the Spectrum TV lineup. Now available to Spectrum TV customers across the state on channel 1, Spectrum News Georgia is available 24/7, featuring local headlines every 15 minutes and hyperlocal weather forecasts every 10 minutes on the 1s. The network also is available to Spectrum customers via the Spectrum News App on mobile, Xumo Stream Box, Roku and Apple TV.

Spectrum News is just like what Headline News use to be not much local news truth be told 90 seconds at the top & bottom of the hour just 60 seconds at 15 & 45. It's good for weather it's live when a line of thunderstorms come through and stop the tape weather forecast until it passes through the state and also do see a weather map on the left side when bad weather comes through.

Spectrum News Michigan launched on May, 16 of this year, I think 3 days early was going to be May 19 but because of those nasty storms that hit a day before was added sooner only knew it as the power flickered couple of times a little after 7:30PM that on Fri May 16 for some reason and it went to channel 1 now the default when the power comes back on. Sorry for rambling on.
