Spiff and Fred to Mornings at True Oldies 106.7, Imus to WCFO 1160

BREAKING NEWS: Per Rodney Ho's blog, effective Monday, Spiff and Fred will move to mornings at True Oldies 106.7. Imus will move to WCFO/1160.
 
WCFO really shuffled the line-up. According to Rodney, Dennis Miller is on from 11am - 1am. I guess the rest of the line-up will be interspersed with Captain Harido.
 
It should also be noted that this is the second afternoon show to move to mornings in a month...the other is Cindy and Ray at Star 94.

Just out of curiosity (not to get any hopes up or cause any problems)...when does Randy Cook's deal with WGST end? I heard April 1 (which, when you add six months for noncompete, would make him available on October 1).

Agree! Spiff and Fred do a terrific job on the air and are fun to listen too. Plus they are really nice guys that I call my friends.

Wow. A 14-hour shift? Miller's going to need a second thesaurus and some throat lozenges.
 
And Dr. Laura gets moved to evenings...essentially the same as if her program was taken off the air with WCFO's nonexistent night signal.

Dr. Laura is so late 90s when she peaked IMHO. That's the beauty of today's media, you can have your motivated little fringe group and make a nice living from it.

I KNEW that Spiff Carner would end up back in the mornings on WYAY!!! Last fall, sources told me that it would be earlier and with Randy Cook. However, I must now agree with RTibbs. Why mess up the good thing that Spiff and Fred have at WYAY??? Randy Cook has carried on without Spiff over at seldom-listened to WGST-AM. When Spiff was let go by WGST-AM, Randy Cook didn`t publicly dispute the decision (to my knowledge). I think that WYAY-FM True Oldies 106.7 must now concentrate on a new good afternoon jock. May I suggest Bob Bailey!!!!!! Bob has been on Atlanta radio for MANY years and really knows the Oldies! He held the Afternoon Drive post from the late 1990`s-2007 on WLKQ Oldies Lake 102.3 and Sunny 100.1-WNSY out of Canton. Bob is a first class D.J. would would sound GREAT on WYAY!!!!!!!!
 
By the way, Bob Bailey was the official fill in D.J. for Randy And Spiff for most of the 1990`s on WFOX-FM Oldies Fox 97.

I think I'm going to start a website carrying Randy & Spiff .... when you click "Listen Now" is will be a feed of both 640 AM and 106.7 FM playing simultaneously.
