Sports Huddle on "Radio Free WHDH in Boston"

There I was going through some old, and in some cases quite old casettes.. Out it came.. All sorts of Eddie, Mark, and Jim at their finest !! (Are Mark Witkin and Jim McCarthy still around ?).. The tape was good, what a laugh ! I have Jean Yawkey
"Sings in the Sauna", a priceless interview Slim Whitman, Leon Spinks, Espo, "Chang", and the best Biff Bulkey of them all.. Vin Maloney ! What a riot. WHDH didn't seem to have much punch in Swampscott where I grew up, either that or most likely, a pretty crappy radio with one awesome long lasting casette ! As always, "Any reproduction of this program without the expressed written permission of the Sports Huddle is prohibited.. done by the late Curt Gowdy !!

My Sundays nights were no way in front of the TV, it was the only night I got my homework done early so I could not miss a moment of the one and only Sports Huddle. Got a piece of the "Clif and Claf" show from WITS as well. on that tape with me calling in at 14 years old. Had disguise my voice to sound 'older' to get thru those tough producers there, not a bad brogue either if I do say either !!

Anybody else have any good grabs of the Huddle ??

Speaking of which, Monica Crowley has been cut by one hour, I can take or leave her, but, I do listen to her perspective of politics. Rick Schaefer cut by an hour, to put on the Andelman Boys, God, I f I sent my three sons to a private college and all they could do with their live is talk about Food, what a waste and embarrassment.

to be fair, Michael tried his hand at sports talk... and wasn't all that successful at that. I don't think they need to worry about where their next meal is coming from, though. Pun intended. :)
