Sports Radio 95.7 To Get New Name?

Except that KNBR does not use "Sportsradio" as a brand, or in their promotions. They are "THE Sports Leader."

Generic brands seem to be popular lately, like Oldies 103.7 or ABC7 News, etc.

UltraSports 95.7...the Bay Area's Third Sports Station (this is not counting 860 since it's ESPN Deportes)

It's all good ... until KNBR adds a simulcast KNBR-FM (with Lamont & Tonelli in the morning) some time in September, at which point 95.7 The Game's niche as the only FM sports station quickly evaporates.

Honestly, it might help 95.7 The Game substantially if they added an AM signal. A solid AM signal, at that.

Again - since KFOG supposedly bills well, 107.7 would probably be the choice.

The 49ers just re-upped with KNBR and KSAN. That could clear the way for a sports simulcast on 680 AM and 107.7 FM. :)
