Spread the word - Asian Boston Radio Kickoff Campaign Goes Live!

We are in full swing to launch Asian Boston Radio on WUNR!

Since WUNR has been sold out forever, some program producer must have had to be kicked off the station to free up time for the (presumably better paying) Asian programming. So who is now scrambling to find another station?

There is quite a sizable and affluent Chinese-American community in Lexington. If they are part of the intended audience, WUNR is not the right station for this programming. Despite running 20,000W day and night, WUNR's signal in Lexington can, at best, be described as marginal only if you are rather charitable.

When Arthur Liu bought what is now WAZN, whose transmitter is in Lexington, and renamed it WAZN, it was obvious that his intention was to attract Asian programmers, and I guess WAZN has had some over the years, but I don't think you could call any flavor of Asian programming a mainstay at AM 1470. However, WAZN's daytime signal in Boston's Chinatown is not so good, whereas WUNR's signal is very good in that area.

odd, as 10KW from New Jersey puts a signal into boston on 1660 no problems 24/7, although it can get kinda weak daytime, it's still there under the absorption, like 3330 out of canada..

does this mean WUNR no longer has yiddish programming and other specialty shows? what are we talking about here exactly, a block of programing or entire station?

I'd rather see them solicit venture capital than have to read about a new asian language pirate in the market!
that "black chinee" is a good DJ. if you havent caught his show i forgt which station it is on but it sure aint licensed

asides from koreans playing starcraft music on WMBR at 2AM of course

Begging for money aside, I would have taken the poster more seriously if he were to spell the word Asian correctly.

If the person who started the thread wants to buy time from WAZN, We would be happy to sell them evening and weekend hours to get them started. WAZN is Russian languge programming from Davison Media during the day, and a simulcast of WLYN nights and weekends.
