Boyce and Hart were also on Bewitched.

Chad & Jeremy were on Patty Duke.

The Beau Bremmels were on the Flintstones as the Beau Bremmelstones.

The Monkees were....well you know. he he!

I remember a rock and roll group or folk group (in the old west) on F-Troop. They played Lemon Tree. They may have been actors though.

The Bedbugs (was Re: F-Troop)

The group playing The Bedbugs in the F-Troop episode "That's Showbiz" was a group known as The Factory. Their frontman, Lowell George (no relation to yours' truly), would later gain fame with Little Feat and as a songwriter for other artists.

The song "Lemon Tree" and "Mr. Tambourine Man" were "sung" by Melody Patterson with Ken Berry, Forest Tucker, James Hampton "accompanying" in the instruments. Isn't it funny.... the songs they sung in that particular episode were not actually written until nearly 100 years later! Poetic license, I guess.

From what I gather, Julie Newmar was (is) probably one of the hardest people to work with. In 1964, the late Bob Cummings and her teamed up for a CBS sitcom "My Living Doll". They, by all accounts, HATED each other. So much in fact that Cummings left the show after a few episodes of the show's first and ONLY season. Fast forward to a year ago or so....... she and neighbor James Belushi had it out with Belushi suing Newmar for $4,000,000 allegedly due to her badmouthing him to the other neighbors and aiming loud music towards his house. Sounds like a real b**ch to me.

BTW: Lee Merriwether was the BEST Catwoman. Eartha Kitt was very able as Catwoman herself. Sorry Julie.

And the episode where Al is humming a song thru the entire episode, trying to figure out the name of the song. It turned out to be "Anna" by Arthur Alexander.

The "Oldies But Young Uns" eposode was on tonight at 5:30 on FX. Great song, and a great show.

I remember some rock group visited Gilligan's Island. Gilligan formed a group and played or auditioned for them. At the end, they fled the island in the middle of the night and left the castaways (not the group) behind with a note that they had enough competition and did not need any more (from the talents of Gillligan's group).

That was Les Brown Jr.'s group, the Wellingtons. They also did a version of the theme song for the opening and closing. On the episode in question, I think they were "The Bugs."

I beg your pardon! You forgot about the station that once was "Oklahoma's Oldies Station" 1520 KOMA Oklahoma City. They had Larry Neal's Wax Museum from 1990-2002 and there has never been a better oldies show.

KOMA-FM "oldies" is stale and repetitive.

The station lost a lot of its charm and appeal. It also had good specialty shows on the weekends, where listeners could hear gems from the 50s and 60s.

Looks like its new ownership and consultants that took over in the late 90s are what ruined the sound of the station. (I know it's highly rated, but that's likely because of its personalities, heritage calls and market voice- no othe stations play oldies, not its late 60s-mostly 70s sound).

Take a look at its playlist. Mostly 70s with little 60s. Those 60s they do play have been played to death.
