107.1 is now off the air, the KNKT website mentions that BBN " will take some time for their technical changes". 104.7 which is now KKTH is also still off the air. This move really is not surprising. Calvary mostly wants to be able to air their sermons and bible teachings. Having four stations with a genre that only makes up about 2% of music sales also makes little sense especially in an area with a low evangelical population. But for a long time KLYT had the Christian Contemporary format to themselves and it did reach a niche audience before there was K-Love and Air1. KLYT has a lengthy Wikipedia page so there is quite a bit of history there. Apparently in 1999 Calvary members took over the board of the Christian Broadcasting Academy and managed to have the station transferred to Calvary pairing it with KNKT which they purchased in 1994. So now it looks like about 45 years of CCM will soon end there. It still remains to be seen what 104.7 will do, it might also be preaching and we'll probably see even more when the next struggling FM gets sold.
