Would you guys listen to an interactive hip hop only net stream that plays all rap,, similar to mtv sucker free,,, but much deeper with remixes and album cuts, and should I make it raw or clean??? No ballads, no pop or dance filler..

However my other station will be all dance music,, nothing poppy and no pop or rap remixes, or cheese, just dark dance beats with a lean on tribal and progressive....

I need your help on station names.. Im going all legal, so should I shoutcast it,,,, Live 365 it, or use Wma??????

you should really emphasize on the whole NO POP thing. In 2009 Hip Hop takes up a lot of room in pop music scene and doesnt seem like its going to go anywhere anytime soon. Look at any given CHR station playlist, there is a lot of Hip Hop in there. With that being the case, you should taylor to the REAL Hip Hop fan. The fan who thinks real Hip Hop is not found on the radio. I would support that all day everyday.

thats what im shooting for,, no britney, gaga etc.... Probably no, or very little eminem since he has pretty much gone pop.. no beyonce too... just pure rap and hip hop without the hype... no boring ballads,,, no kiss me through the phone etc....

This pretty much describes a SiriusXM station or two. Back when I had it "XM Raw" and "Hip Hop Nation" were exactly like that. I cancelled the service quite awhile ago, so I can't say if HHN is still like that today.

Can you imagine Fresh and King both co programing a rap station, and recruiting some mixshows, get the same voice over guy as 102 jamz in Greensboro.. I like both Hip Hop and Dance, Oldschool, and top 40, but im very picky about what should and should not be played on a stations format, it messes the charts up and blurs the lines... Do you think Cobra Starship, Kevin Rudoff, and 3oh3, and Shakira should be on a hip hop, or a dance station either one,,, they are all good artists, but they are not playing to their target Black audience, and just the white-black music fan, and the dance stations are trying to squeaze in as much pop as possible. If someone doesnt step in, all rap as we know it will be over on radio, and dance music will just be the new pop, which will hurt the real artists of both genre's and all rhythmic music will simply be pop.
