Wheel of Fortune did something kind of unique this past week. They had shoutouts from just some of the affiliates that have carried Wheel of Fortune for 40 years. Here are the ones they had shoutouts from:
KOMO 4 Seattle
NBC 5 on Your Side St. Louis (KSDK)
ABC 7 Little Rock (KATV)
ABC 7 Chicago (WLS)
WPRI 12 Rhode Island
ABC 11 North Carolina (WTVD)
NBC 7 San Diego (KNSD)
Local 4 Detroit (WDIV)
abc13News Now Norfolk, VA (WVEC)
6abc Action News Philadelphia (WPVI)
abc30 Fresno, CA (KFSN)
10TV WBNS Columbus
WCCO St. Paul/Minneapolis
WLKY Louisville
KXTV Sacremento
Now I'm sure there's others but they only had room for 15 (3 per episode). And I'm not surprised they were sure to include the ABC O&Os that have aired Wheel since the beginning. WABC and KABC are well known affiliates but WABC didn't start carrying it until 1990 and KABC until 1992. I don't know if KGO has always carried it but I wouldn't be surprised. And I'm pretty sure WJLA always has, and I think WPXI. Does anyone know any others?
