Stephen George Appointed Louisiana Public Media Interim President/GM

https://news.****************/cgi-bin/rol.exe/headline_id=n35102

LPM has released a statement on the move.

Louisville Public Media's executive committee of the board of directors has appoints LPM executive editor Stephen George to serve as interim President and General Manager, effective immediately. George has served as executive editor since 2015, overseeing content across all of LPM's services. He replaces Michael Skoler, who has resigned his position as President/GM to pursue other interests. Skoler joined LPM in 2016. He succeeded Donovan Reynolds, who retired earlier that year.
"The executive committee of the Board is pleased to appoint Stephen George as interim President and General Manager. Stephen has exhibited terrific leadership capabilities at LPM and in his previous roles, and we are pleased to entrust the leadership of the staff to him," said Louisville Public Media Board Chair Todd Lowe. "We thank Michael for his service and wish him well in his future endeavors."

Oh bother, one wonders if you posted on the right "L" board.

Seems that LPM = *Louisville* Public Media. While there exists a Louisville, Mississippi (pronounced LEWIS-vuhl, thank you very much), taint no such town -- much less an eponymous Public Media organization -- down heah in Lew-Ee-Zee-Anuh.
