Steve Harvey is going to be the death of KJLH

I miss Cliff Winston. Maybe if Cliff Winston was still on there we wouldn't have annoying Steve Harvey. KJLH is dying a slow horrible death. :'(

Cliff left way before Steve Harvey was even thought of. Cliff left KJLH on his own to join KRBV in 2006. Adai Lamar and Levi Booker took over the show for a year until Guy Black and Natiuca were hired. Steve Harvey is not the cause of KJLH ratings. KJLH wanted his show so its on PD and management.

harvey is done @KJLH.... look for the talentless PM team to take over as soon as harveys' contract expires this year. the PM team will be worse than harvey....but the station has other major issues Pray 4 them

That ghetto fab act is soooo tired. The local breaks are even worse. I can't understand why that station allows such horrible talent on the air. L.A. has always been a progressive black radio market. Steve Harvey is just not that funny on the radio! And his ignorance keeps the station from attracting anybody other than the handfull of black listeners they have. Such a narrow approach in this diverse market is suicide. They used to actually do a salsa mix at noon with Nautica, thinking it would attract hispanics! All that accomplished was to drive away their small, black audience. The station is a mess, and the programmer is not the brightest. Their idea of playing reggae is 'No woman, no cry ' by Bob Marley. OMG! It's on life support at this point. No news, poor production, mediocre air talent, no marketing/promotion no social networking...Do they have a GM?

Yes Karen Slade whos been with the station for a very long time. KJLH had billboards around LA before. Last time was around 2008. Most of them were in south la. They normally keep one up around the studios or by the Crenshaw Mall not sure I havent been overthere in years. Im sure they are aware their station is on life support and I have no doubt Stevie himself is pumping his own money into the station. Their internship program is one positive thing if you wanna know the business

Yeah, it's a for-sure shame. The station did have promise at one point. I don't know why radio managers won't simply hire good people and then let them do their jobs... but no, they always gotta futz with it.

It's indep. owned so what do you expect. With that signal their listener base wont go that far. All they need to do is drop that hip hop crap and just play R&B like the good old days. It's just hard to imagine the day Stevie passes away {hopefully a long time away} what will happen to the station?

Don't say that. Stevie Wonder ain't going nowhere. KJLH ain't going nowhere, the format maybe. I don't know. If Stevie Wonder does die what if? Would it turn into a Rock station, Hip Hop station? what? Somebody let me know?

Relax as long as Stevie is alive the station is gonna be on the air. As for the future who knows maybe the family will keep it or maybe a minotry company will buy. Hopefully not Radio One. They need to stay away from Los Angeles.

Does anyone know what kind of ratings Steve Harvey gets on KJLH compared to jockless KDAY? Just curious... How do Pat and Kim on KTWV compared to KOST in AM drive? David, hoping you have the answer.

That's what I'm wondering.
