Steve MacLaughlin of NBC o&o KXAS in Dallas was this weekend’s fill in for Joe Moreno. (He is also on this morning, too.)Before you go asking “What does this guy from Texas know about weather in New York?” MacLaughlin is from New Jersey and has worked in the New York market for the various News 12 outfits of Cablevision and also worked for WNBC in an off-air forecasting role.<P ID="signature">______________

Yeah and Harold would never have hired him, because he can not get his composure and facts straight when severe weather is in the area. He was hired for eyecandy reasons only. Even Finfrock had a talking to him last spring after a severe weather outbreak.

So that is where Steve MacLaughlin went to after he was on WB17.

Could this be a sign of things to come..perhaps a "steve-less" weather center?

Don't count on it.
WNBC is down a meteorologist, since weekend morning meteorologist Joe Moreno out with a back injury. Fill-ins have included Telemundo 47's Andrea Romero, Ex-WTNH meteorologist Ibby Carothers, and Steve Stewart of WNCN.
