Atlantic City/Cape May Steve Raymond and Shannon Wray-Norris out at WZXL

More Names Affected By This Month’s iHeartMedia Cuts – RadioInsight

"Steve Raymond exits as Program Director and afternoon host at Classic Rock 100.7 WZXL Atlantic City NJ. Raymond had been with WZXL since 1990.

Shannon Wray-Norris departs as SVP/Programming. She rose to her former position last December following iHeart’s acquisition of the former Equity Communications properties where she had been Director of Marketing and Promotions since 2009. Before a stint in Public Relations, she held Marketing/Promotions Director duties at Clear Channel clusters in Cincinnati, Miami, Orlando, Tampa and Syracuse NY between 1998 and 2004."

Funny, as I thought the press release said they were looking forward to "collaborating" with Equity's "world-class staff?"

iHeartMedia programming completely homogenized radio? Color me surprised .... actually, quite the opposite. I'm certain they're going to voicetrack Raymond's timeslot from out of market just like they do the whole day outside of the morning show.

That's basically what Equity was doing already. WTTH was syndicated morning show I believe and automated the rest of the day. WZBZ was basically all automation. WAYV was live morning show and tracked the rest of the day. WZXL was live from what... Noon-7 with the PD?

Sure iHeart is known for tracking from wherever, but let's not pretend Equity was overflowing with bodies in the studios.
