Robert Feder has a report out this morning that Steve Sanders has decided to retire from WGN TV https://www.robertfeder.com/2020/02/03/anchorman-steve-sanders-retire-amazing-run-wgn/ , where currently he anchors the midway news from 11 AM to 1 PM. Steve Sanders who today is celebrating his 70th birthday announced on this past Friday that his last day is February 28th. And right now there is no word of who is going to repack him, and who knows how long it will be. From 1993 to 2008 he anchored the #1 news at 9 PM. And that is while doing 2 stints as the midday news anchor, and just this last December, he filled in for Dean Richards on Family Classics for both presentations of Holiday Inn along with the Three Stooges presentations on New Year's Eve. Steve Sanders announced what he plans to do in his retirement, which you can read about in the story, along with his e-mail to colleagues.
