Stewart Ledbetter(of WPTZ) to host 'Vermont This Week' on VPT starting next year

Stewart Ledbetter will be the host of Vermont Public Television’s weekly news program, Vermont This Week, starting next year. A regular panelist on the show for many years, he will assume the host chair Jan. 5.

Ledbetter has more than 23 years‚ experience covering Vermont news, 22 of them at WPTZ NewsChannel 5. He has been a news anchor, news director and is now the senior political reporter for WPTZ. He will continue in that position.

Ledbetter replaces Chris Graff who has hosted the program since 1992, beginning when the program’s founder, Jack Barry, retired. Graff, the former bureau chief for the Associated Press in Vermont, is leaving the program at the end of December to become vice president of communications for the Montpelier-based National Life Group.

Graff was fired from his post at the Associated Press earlier this year.
