I'm assuming it's Clear Channel, but maybe Cox could be doing it too? Maybe Big or 93 Rock?

I just hope it's "real" talk and not bs "guy" talk like the Free FMs or Real Radio in WPB.

I think it will be real talk if it happens.

If CC makes a move to bring a talk station to FM, the two stations that are prime targets here are 105.9 and 103.5. The scenarios here could be WIOD-FM as has been mentioned here plenty, or possibly the "real radio" format. If they opt to go the real radio route, they should take some cues from sister station WTKS-FM in Orlando which always has had decent ratings. It could do well if executed properly.

Yes, after playing "Stairway to Heaven" for the BILLIONTH time, I think CC management has decided that BIG needs something new. Of course Paul & Ron will remain in the morning, which is unfortunate because their act is almost as stale as classic rock. Maybe they will call it BIG TALK 105.9 !

LOL!

As long as Big 105.9 continues to bill well for CC, expect the station to stay the way it is. What they get in the ratings doesn't mean jack to CC. When they can no longer bill well, then everyone here can and will hear something new on the 105.9 frequency. Till then, rock on.

It's inevitable that more talk is coming to FM not just in Miami, but everywhere.
We'll see these thanges sooner rather than later.

I agree with Radioman...there will eventually be FM talk in Miami. However, it's expensive to do if done right and I don't see anyone making that investment in today's economic environment. But it will happen in time.
